A72A-RATEDYR WARRANTYYRS ON-SITE

A-rated efficiency. Seven year warranty. Two years on site.

A72 is the badge we put on luminaires that hit the top energy class and carry our strongest cover. If it wears the mark, it costs less to run, and if anything goes wrong in the first two years we come to site and put it right.

What the mark means

Three things, every time

Not a range name. A standard. A product only carries A72 when it meets all three, and we keep the list on this page so a wholesaler or contractor never has to guess.

A

A-rated energy

The top class on the UK and EU energy label. Up to 200 lm/W means more light from every watt, lower bills, and a faster payback on the switch to LED.

What A-rated actually means
7

Seven year warranty

Two years beyond our standard cover. Long enough to outlast most maintenance contracts and the payback period of the install itself.

2

Two years on site

For the first two years a failure is our problem, not the installer's. Register the job, log a claim online, and we send an engineer rather than a box.

Why it matters

One badge answers the three questions every spec gets asked

How efficient is it? How long is it covered? Who fixes it if it fails? Tenders, FM contracts and insurers all ask. A72 lets a wholesaler answer in one word and lets a contractor quote with less risk priced in.

For wholesalers
A shelf-edge story that sells itself. Stock the A72 core and upsell from standard with a reason.
For contractors
Fewer callbacks on your own time. On-site cover means a failure in year one or two is not a free return visit.
For the end client
Lower running costs, a carbon figure for the sustainability report, and seven years without thinking about the lights.
What A-rated saves

Same light. A third of the running cost.

Three ways to put about 30,000 lumens on a warehouse floor from one high bay: a 400W SON, an early LED at 100 lm/W, and Foremark on its 160W setting at 200 lm/W. Change the numbers to match your site.

3.0 tCO₂ a year avoided against SON

Running cost = watts × hours × price per kWh. SON figures are typical for a 400W high bay including its control gear; light output varies with the fitting and its age. Carbon uses 0.131 kg CO₂e per kWh. Lamp changes and maintenance on the SON are not included and would widen the gap. An estimate, not a quotation. For your own building, run it through the design calculator.

How the warranty works

Register it once. Then forget about it.

1

Register the installation

The installer registers the job online with the site address and product codes. Two minutes, and the on-site cover starts from that date.

2

Log a claim online

If a fitting fails, the claim form takes the details and our technical team calls back to confirm the fault.

3

We come to site

In years one and two a Lumineux engineer attends and replaces the fitting. From year three to seven we supply the replacement.

Specify A72 on your next project

Send us the drawings and our lighting design team will lay it out with A72 fittings, with the energy saving and payback figure alongside.
